Predator V1.04 Upgrade - Official Kiss-Off. This is what I got from DiabloSport. It contradicts
what I had been expecting from previous info and
says basically that current Fbody Predator owners
can expect none of the improvements which other
makes / models enjoy.
Last I understood, V1.04 was going to be a hardware
and software upgrade. I guess DiabloSport has decided
that's more than its customers deserve.
This pisses me off, because I bought this product with
the expectation, based on DiablosSport information,
that there was support and an upgrade path for the
future. Good thing I gave up a while back and bought
HPTuners. But I want my Predator product brought up
to current standards and DiabloSport appears to have
cut us adrift instead.

ANSWER:
Dear Jimmy Blue,
The only update that is being worked on at this time is to support the 2004
vehicles. We will not be able to add logging to the current GM Predator because
there is not enough memory in the Predator for it.

i bought a predator awhile back when i was putting gears in my car and for the tune also. well i had to go get help from diablo just to get the speed close to right. had to 'trick' my computer and put in some off the wall wheel and tire size to get it close. to say the least i was not impressed with the performance i got for what i paid. i couldnt tell any difference at all. i want to get it tuned so i can take the predator out. anyone know how much power i could pick up with a good tune over the predator. just wondering. oh if i take it to get tuned i will have to take the predator tune out before i go right? well just my .02

I used mine for about a year. Just adjusting tire sizes, some timing and fuel. Did heads and cam, then i'd have to rely on them for tuning........no thanks. It's now one of my loaner code reader and realtime monitoring tools

I saw this morning a reply from James that there
will be some upgrade for existing Predators but
it will not extend as far as logging, and will start
work sometime after they get done with '04 GM
support.
It appears to me that DiabloSport has decided
not to do the hardware replacement as I had
originally been told, as the reason given for no
logging capability is the current units' memory
limitation.

because I thought it was going to provide all the high performance
automotive tuning and diagnostics that I was going to need on my 4th
gen fbody. But with this revealation I'll probablly have to sell off
the unit, and go with a competitors products.
I am also glad I did not follow up on becoming a dealer for
diablosport's products. Since appearently Diablosport has been
misleading other dealers into believing a revision would be available
and would include logging.

I am having the same problem calibrating my speedo after a gear change with the predator. What did you have to do to get close?
