Default LM-2 Is it any good?

My LC-1 has gone bad and need something to replace it. Any reviews, opinions, or comments on the LM-2? I tune with efi live and see the LM-2 has an optional cable which has a 2.5mm plug that will work with the cables i have for efi live, so i believe it will plug right into the efi live and i can use the analog outputs on the other devices i use.

Just wondering if anyone has good luck with these and see how reliable they are, because I'm debating getting the LM-2 or just get another lc-1.

Innovate is telling me the lc-1 isn't as reliable and built to be moved from vehicle to vehicle like the lm-2 is.

I will agree with them, LC-1 isn't built for jumping from vehicle to vehicle. I have the LM-2 single channel and love it. My LM_1 crapped out about a year ago. I got my cable from http://taquickness.com/taqcables.htm Works great! I say go for it!

I have one and it's easy to change from one vehicle to another.
If you can use the serial output, go for it.

Alright, that is good news. the reviews i read of it the biggest complaint was its rpm readings weren't reliable, but i don't need rpm readings anyway. I went a head and ordered one up.

For the time being TAQ stopped selling their serial cable , which in my opinion makes tuning hard (if you're using EFIlive ,not sure about HPT) as you can't log the AFR and perform Autove with some other stuff .

Other than that, the LM2 is fine .

why can't you log AFR with out that cable?

what i was planning is innovate sells a cable that is a serial output with 2.5mm connection like the lc1. then i will just hook it up to efi live, just like i did with the lc-1.

you cant run a lm2 in analog? i ran my lm1 analog for years before serial logging was an option. I now use nothing but serial logging, you can make that cable yourself, its not that hard.

That cable is very simple to make DIY...

the EFILive forum has pics/diagrams on how to do it.
