Default Chip

I bought a hypertec chip for my 93 chevy truck 350 was a v6 that someone changed the motor. The chip I bought was from a 92 chevy truck and it won't fit my 93. So I was wondering if his ECM would work on my truck so I could use the chip or just buy the right chip for it?

93 C\K uses a #16168625ecm $E6 strategy
92 C\k uses a #16146299ecm $99 strategy

I would get the right chip rather than repin for the ecm.
You do need one as the 4.3L chip will run a 5.7L but I don't think
I'd drive it like that.

Would I have to get a new chip to plug in to the ecm or can I just buy a chip to plug into the chip that plugs into the ecm?
