Default Did it fix itself?

After a tune I was getting an ses light w/ codes po343 cam sensor & a p1404 egr valve. I cleaned the egr and my light has not returned. My tach needle was flatlining but I have not noticed that either lately. Did it fix itself? I don't notice the car running very rough & it starts right up. Gas milege dosen't seem great & it does not seem as responsive but I was not stepping on it from a stop. How do I know it still needs to be changed w/o paying somone to pull off the intake? I can take it to Autozone and get the pcm scanned but will that be the old stored code . Will shop scanners tell more?
