95 z28 had head gaskets replaced and now no power and missing
Help! I recently had a blown head gasket replaced on my 95 camaro with 5.7l with auto trans and now it's doggy, no power at all, and it's missing terribly. The head gaskets, valve guides, etc. everything in a head gasket kit were replaced. When I try (try being the key word) to romp on it the check engine light comes on and then goes off as soon as I let off on the accelerator. Fuel pressure 46 psi. (changed the fuel pump because of this. no change). Wondering if the mechanic crossed a couple plug wires or the coolant sensor is bad or maybe even the opti.?? Also its shifting late from 2nd to 3rd gear and then seems like it wants to stall after it kicks into 3rd gear. Everything is stock. Has 160 k on it. I saw the engine when it was open and it has supprisingly little wear on the cylinders. I hate to be a parts changer but I think I'll change the coolant sensor and the ICM and see what that does. Any ides gentlemen? Thank you
