Where to mount my LS1 computer in my 69 Camaro?

Where to mount my LS1 computer in my 69 Camaro? I'm at the point where I am needing to mount my LS1 computer in my 69 Camaro resto project, but since I have Vintage Air, I don't have room to place it under the dash. Any suggestions? I have room on the passenger side firewall, and have a cowl hood for my Camaro... would the engine bay get too hot for the computer if I mounted it there?

I have the same set up. I cut a piece of sheet aluminum a little larger than the ecu, attached the ecu to the aluminum and then attached the unit to the inside of the dash with screws. This is basically in front of and above the AC unit.
