Default Critique my 5.3 turbo tune...mainly timing 2 bar SD HPtuners

Hey guys I just got my car up and running and I"m getting things sorted out. Before I felt like I was running way too low of timing because I was figuring out what g/cyl on the spark table the car was actually hitting boost. before I still had a MAF pid on the table so on the histograms the g/cyl wasnt matching what was on the table. I deleted the MAF pid and now its all good. I have posted a few logs and the tune. Any advice would be great.

From what I can tell the car starts to hit 1psi around ~.60 g/cyl. I'm running a 2005 LM7, ls6 cam, ls6 intake and 76mm turbo with the huron speed kit. I'm also limited to 91 octane but that will very soon be resolved with the methanol kit. Let me know what you guys think and how my tune can be tweaked to perfection.

Kind of hard to give "tweaked to perfection" critique without very specific details on the setup. Injectors, throttle body, cam, gears, etc.

As for the details you did provide, and looking at the tune, there's no way the VE can be accurate. I can tell you that by the shape. It's a decent start to get it running, but it can't be accurate. Put a wideband in it, put it in open loop, and dial it in.

Also, the PE is kinda screwy the way you ramp it down then up.

These engines are rarely going to want the exact same timing from 3600 to redline. It will run, and probably even run good, but if you're looking for perfection, you'll want to dial that in to want the engine wants. Based on airflow, peak torque, peak power, etc.

Yeah, I kinda borrowed that VE table from someone and tried tweeking it but haven't worked on it hardly at all.

The motor is a 2005 5.3, 706 heads, 04 ls6 cam, SD 60lb injectors, huron speed turbo kit with a 76mm turbo.

After looking at a stock z06 VE table, my numbers are way off from that in the non boosted regions. Do you think I would be better off copying a z06 ve table and multiplying buy 125% to 210 and then running open loop to get it dialed in?

The problem is, someone seemed to have forgotten to finish the gif.....It gets your hopes up and then just starts over...

Your VE in the second tune is closer. You should not see anything jagged. Try to isolate a cell by either loading with your brakes or on a loaded dyno. PS your brakes will NOT like you. You can get most cells under 105kPa and under 4k that way. The turbo will make it a little harder.
