Default How much gain should I expect from Dynotune?

I'm going to be installing Kooks 1 3/4 Headers and catted y-pipe on a stock 2002 Firehawk. I'm trying to decide whether or not to tune it after the install. I have been told to wait until I do something major (ie:cam) and I have been told that a tune could give me an additional 15 HP. What should I do?

A proper dyno tune should net you between 10 to 20 HP.

Sure, there are the exceptions, where you gain little to nothing with a dyno tune, but these are the exception. Maybe 1 out of 10 cars we will make less than a 10 HP gain with a dyno tune.

IMO tuning should be done to make the car more drivable not for performance gains.
