e38 Bricked.. kinda..
So I was tuning my own personal car last night, talking to a customer on the phone.. blah blah... Right before the write was complete I turned the car off.
Well I went to start it and it started but runs terrible. Pcm is in PE, tries to idle at 400rpm and thinks its at 105kpa. Runs like it is on 5 cylinders. I can still read and write to the computer but nothing happens.
Is it possible that you can kinda brick a pcm? The next question is, if it is bricked, 1. can a tech2 reflash back to factory and fix the corrupt pcm or 2. if I buy a pcm of ebay and they program my vin in it, will I have to buy credits all over again.

When in tis 2 web and once it has downloaded the VIN from the pcm it will ask whether you want to replace and program or reprogram.
Choose replace and program and it completely ignores all current information in the pcm and will 100% rewrite the correct calibrations. If it's savable that will fix it.
