Yes you can.
You only need to do a full flash with your stock tune file, or download one from a repository.
Using the stock tune from the damaged PCM assures full compatibility and only needs 1 license.

Just be careful not to use the last file you flashed when the PCM was bricked, if some parameter is corrupted or out of range you will also brick the spare

Not trying to hijack, just for future reference. But this out of range causing computer lock up. Can that be expanded on please.

I think it's mostly on drive by wire vehicles, which an 02 F-Body is not...but if you put in bad values in the drive by wire tables of a Gen 3 PCM, you can essentially permanently brick it.

The software nowadays is pretty good, it usually won't let you enter values that are out of range of tables/constants.

Drive by wire parameters too small or too big will permanently damage the PCM.

Speedometer parameters too small will brick the PCM. A bricked PCM can be repaired with special equipment.

I have seen people who bricked a few PCMs using bad or corrupted files

Bricked just means the device will no longer function or accept flashing of software/roms.
