Default Cruise Timing & Idle Timing

I would like to know what you guys see for total timing at about a 2,000 RPM cruise and what kind of idle timing is typical.

Largely depends on your specific application, so unless someone has your exact engine it's not going to matter what they have as it won't likely be what you need.

That being said, I still want to hear from others what their approximate range is along with some details of their combo.

I would also like to know what is typical factory calibration for stock LS1 , LS2, Ls6 etc.

Damn, I thought this would be a really simple question for a tuner to answer.

I see around 30 degrees at 2000 rpm cruising around and idle is around 21 degrees. Motor is a 383 ,fast 102/102 and cam is a 239/247 .623/.623. Redtan is a 100 percent right though some motors like more some like less. Timing is one of those things you have to drive around and log to see exactly what the motor likes.

Every vehicle is different, there there isnt a simple x amount of timing at 2000 rpms. It also varies by load, temp, and IAT's. Here is a 08 C6 timing high oct timing table, I highlighted the timing at 2,000 rpm to give you an idea. The left side is light load load and as the load increases it goes to the right.

Here is some timing tables from hptuners. The first table is my timing on a 5.3 212/218 cam,LT headers and a 2008 truck intake manifold. in my truck. It is basically a 2003 ZO6 high octane table with some tweeks for my truck.

The second table is a 1999 Camaro ss high octane timing table

The last one I am not sure.

Are you bumping the timing up so much to help with tip in/part throttle driveability from the extra torque? It seems pretty high.
