Default Car dies, with time starts again....help please!

im having a issue with my car keep stalling after awhile. its a 99 z28, I just did a header and cam swap, and now I have this issue of the car just dying on me after a few minutes of driving. Im thinking its heat related because after I let the car sit for a few minutes, sometimes 10-15 minutes, the car fires right up and drive good for a few minutes then dies again. battery voltage is low while cranking, but doesn't slow down the cranking at all. and while driving the gauge shows 13 volts and the ect is not high. I have not got a tune yet, the car wont even make it 5 miles without dying...its a small 220 cam. I have heard that the icm can be intermittent when it gets hot, but where is the icm on a ls1 Camaro? I didn't know it had one. the engine bay gets pretty hot since I have a Sunoco hood that doesn't let heat escape very good. im stumped and would really like some help please. here are my files to show how it happends. its around 3:50.

Just taking a quick look at your scans, your o2 sensors are not working. Either they are dead or unplugged. Fix this first then go from there.

I would also recommend you to move your IAT sensor, looks like it is getting heat soaked.

yea I did a header swap and I haven't deleted the rear o2s yet. also the iat is mounted in the lid housing, and since im in phoenix my IATs get pretty hot. they used to get up to 155'F but I changed the intake to the slp flow pac. it dropped temps by over 40degrees.

also, can the alternator output affect the coils? is there a certain voltage that will stop power to the coils? I noticed my connection to my alternator is soaked in power steering fluid...

ok so you need to fix a power steering leak and the front O2 sensors are not registering. You need to see what is wrong with them. The rear O2's dont right now, figure out what is wrong with the fronts.

ill have to see whats up with the front o2s, but the ps leak is from the rack and pinion. right now im more concerned with getting the car to stay running, then ill worry about the o2s and ps leak.

Ok so if you are not worried about your front o2 sensors working then you will never go into closed loop mode, you will always be in open loop.

If you were closer, I would help you out, but it seems like there is alot more going on than just the tune. Good luck.

im gonna get a tune as soon I can get the car to drive for more than 5 miles without shutting off. its staying in open loop for now and that's fine, I have been monitoring the pids and everything looks good. I just don't want to take it to get a tune, and on the dyno the car cuts off and me and the tuner have to wait till the car turns back on just to tune the car. once I get this issue fixed I will tackle the other issues in order of priority, because I know they are also important issues. its just that right now this car is my wifes daily and I don't want her dealing with is. I appreciate your help though

edit : its staying in open loop. misprint...

I believe 1slowbusa is trying to say that without the front O2's working there is no way it can be in closed loop. They control fuel to your engine so they are probably your ticket to finding what is wrong. Good luck.

I agree it does and maybe im wrong but if the car stays in open loop doesn't that mean it goes full fuel? I don't think that would cause a no start issue, or dying while driving. going into closed loop is emissions related. the only codes I have is for the O2s and the egr. thank you, I really hope to get this sorted out

You have to get the front 02's working first. Get them working, then see how it runs.
