Check for excessive crankshaft end play.

Hi guys decide red to pull sump off and check reluctor wheel looks completely different to a sad law wheel can't get it to move on crank with screw driver but the vehicle has got a lot worse and throws crank sensor code every time you get on the loud pedal and timing is very erratic I have checked end play while in car and can get a 12thou feelie Guage in between crank thrust and bearing cap with crank levered forward I'm wondering if wheel is moving a little when it's hot?

Hi guys just thought I'd give a update I striped down the engine and the reluctor wheel looked ok by eye but was bout 5degrees out which isn't a huge problem but I thought Ive got this far I'm replacing it any way it pretty much just fell off with one tap so my guess is as soon as the engine got hot it was moving round on the crank as it's all back in and running with no problems
