Ignition switch gone bad?
Ok so i have a 98 camaro z28
car was fine, running fine starting fine
then i tried starting it and it continued to crank over and over and finally started not too unusual as i have a stroker motor.
Let car sit for a few hours came back later tried to start it, nothing
i turn the key to on and everything is on inside, including head lights, brake lights and i also hear my fuel pump priming but car wont start.
I hear a clicking noise everytime i try to start the car coming from a black box that is behind the radio.
I took my starter relay out of the fuse box and tried jumping it with a wire by sticking two sides of the wire into the spot where they starter relay goes and it fired right up and stayed on as it should...
Im guessing bad ignition switch right?
I also put a different relay (from one of the fans in to make sure it wasnt the starter relay and it didnt start even with a different working relay in the starter relay position"
any thoughts appreciated
