Default Car has a high RPM "surge"

My 6 speed ss has a "surge" under WOT. It has ported heads, Cam, and full exhaust. Also has a new MAF. I have a mail order tune thrue Frost. Under WOT the car will pull hard then it feels like it losses 100 horse, then pulls hard again and falls on its face. I know I need to get a wideband on it and check the air/fuel. Im just curious if anyone has any ideas on what could possibly cause this? Im pretty sure my tune has got to be pretty close being Frost did it... I also checked fuel pressure and it never drops below 58psi. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Have you ever changed the fuel filter? I've seen them do funny surging type stuff like that do to the fuel filter.

Sounds like it is running out of fuel. Check your fuel pressure when it is doing that.

I have checked the fuel pressure while its doing this and it stays at 58psi. Fuel filter is original and im assuming its good being it only has 28k miles and fuel pressure stays consistant.

Do u have way to log it? It could be knock retard or a timing issue if your fuel system isn't the issues. Without a way to data log your just guessing though.

Right, I do have efi live, I know I cant see air /fuel without getting a wideband obviously, but can I log a run with efi live and the v2 in order to read knock? I may get my tune posted up on here that way someone can take a look at it... Thanks!
