Default WooHoo!!. justed fixed all my idle and driveability problems

after trying everything in the world to get my car to idle with a 337 duration cam, i decided to go ahead and try to lock it in open loop like NOGO and others did and see what happens. i changed the closed loop enable temp to 300 across the board and WALA. she drove completely perfect after that. no more surging, no more nasty rich fumes coming from the tail pipe at a stop, no more dieing at stops, nothing. i even brought the idle back down to 900rpm from 1100 i was running with the closed loop tune i had it still idled fine. finally able to use one foot to cruz around town. i still got a little bit of minor tunning to do but the hardest part is done. cruzing around, my O2s read from 820 at idle and move up to 940 or so as i go to WOT. i am not sure if this is good but it sure runs smooth. to open loop. i reqemend this to anyone with a 230+ duration cam and LTs.

Glad to see things are better now.
Questions-Now are all fueling adjustments made in the VE table?
What about PE,is this now adjusted in the VE table via map load/rpm?
Just trying to get a better understanding.
Thanks
Tony

i am not totally sure but when i change my PE/RPM table at low RPMs, the idle does get leaner and richer accordingly. i think the only way to truelly tune a car this way is to use a wide band. i still have some studing to do. i was thinking about just locking it in open loop at idle and go back closed at cruzzing speeds when the O2s are more usefully.
