I have a 99 pcm in my mustang. When I turn the ignition to on the fuel pump runs constantly. Car gets no spark either. Im thinking the pcm may be bad but im looking for advice on where to look. I checked the feed wire from pcm to fuel pump relay and im getting a constant hot on pin 30( normal) but pin 86 as well. Test done with koeo. Can anyone point me in the right direction? thanks

Does this sound like a bad pcm?

On KOEO the PCM runs the fuel pump for 2 seconds...

from what you said, either there is a short to power in the feed wire from the PCM, or PCM has failed.

Thanks Joe. The engine and pcm is out of a 99ta. Are there any other vehicles compatible such as a 5.3 pcm or do I need the 99 ta pcm?

Part number ending in 0411 is compatible, without DBW (i.e. cable throttle only).
