Default ECM Scanner Options - what's hot, what's not?

I have a Auto X-Ray scanner, not the new one that they have out, but the previous version, and I just got off the phone w/ them and they stated that I can upgrade to the new style scanner, as long as I send them the scanner that I have now.

They are offering a stupid amount in trade for the scanner that I have, and I was really thinking about it due to the fact that I can't stand a few things w/ the scanner that I have now.
< Issues which are handled in the new scanners >

I was thinking because of the very small difference w/ the pricing, that I was going to get :
Auto X-Ray EZ Scan 6ooo

What are you using for a scanner, and how do you like it?
Does it log data, and how long are you able to scan w/ it?
What are some of the -/+ of the scanner, and would you recommend getting another to your mom?
< If you recommend it to mom, it had better be a good one! >

Thanx
