So got the 68 firebird ls1 up and running but when I connected the scan tool up it wouldn't communicate with ecm. I'm using a PSI harness.
Chould I put an ohm meter between pin #2 serial data to pcm to pin #4 or#5 ground to check for conductivity (no open in circuit). Checking it with battery disconnected? DLC pin #16 does have power.

Do the pink and single orange wires on the blue PCM connector have 12 volts with ignition power turned ON ?
