Those Ebay performance chips So what is the deal with those Ebay performance chips for $30? Claim to make an extra 20hp? Is it all bullshit like I expect? Change your air/fuel ratio.

All the ones I had seen looked more like the
IAT timing tricker ($0.29 resistor), and
somebody ought to track down every one of
those eBay "chip" scammers and knee them
in the nuts over and over. After which, there
are plenty of TB bypass "kit" weasels who
are in need of the same.
There is also the JET "chip", which interposes
between the PCM and its connector. This is a
different critter. I'm suspicious of using things
that fool the PCM, rather than educating the
PCM to make better use of the truth (aka
programming).
