Anyone using GM boost control solenoid?
Having trouble with mine.
I ordered mine a few years ago and dug it out today to play with. Bench testing it I'm having issues with the solenoid not working at pressures over say 9psi? (regulated shop air). I can slowly add/remove duty % and it will click faster/slower at 5lbs and it seems to be working properly. Using 31hz on my ECU to control it. I've tried bumping HZ up and down 30z with no change in operation. As soon as I apply say 10lbs it's like the solenoid doesn't have enough power to open/close and is just stuck. I'll set DC at 100% and it's clicking like mad, as soon as I add 10+psi to the inlet of the solenoid it stops clicking. Bring the pressure down and it starts again. Am I doing something wrong? Or do you think my solenoid is malfunctioning?
It's this solenoid.
