Default Hypertech Progammer 3 problem

i have a 1998 camaro z28 A4, with all the small mods, airbox, flowmasters, 3.43 (or is it 3.42) gears. anyway, i got a hypertech power programmer 3 from uncle (he gave me the car, lucky me), and i have the computer and the cable, but i need some sort of adapter to plug it in. hyperlink calls it a direct link adapter. does anyone know where i can find it without calling hypertech?

also, do u think it will make a difference. i know it improves ur power curve, and it lets u change shift firmness, but does it work well?

my HPP3 just had a black cable, with a OBD-2 pin on one side, and a 15 pin (i think it was 15?) on the other, that screwed onto the hypertech unit.

sounds like you have those 2 parts.

mine is 15 pin male on one side, and 15 pin female on the other, they plug into each other

there is no obd-2 pin, the manual says i need an adapter, maybe its an older programmer

weird, you don't need that cable, you need the one with the OBD-2 connector.

might want to put a wanted post, maybe somebody has 2 and will sell one.

Ryan.
