Default Can I tell if my car has been tuned?

I intend to run a 100 shot on my 02 Trans am because it is my understanding that no timing has to be pulled until after a 100 shot. It is also my understanding that advanced timing and nitrous do not mix. Is there anyway I can tell if my car has been tuned and had the timing advanced so I don't cause damage? Could I maybe monitor the timing with a scanner? If so what should the timing read if it is tuned or stock? The car shifts at 6000 RPMs if that is any help. Thanks in advance,

Here is a stock file from a 99 TA. If you cant see it, where your shifting is between 26-28*. Hope this helps some.

Default Timing

I just ran the 1/4 mile on Sunday and my timing on my HP tuner data logger said the timing was running from 25 to 29. Why is my friends car with a carb runs 38 degrees. Can someone explain how and why the difference between the cars. I was going to change the timing with hp tuner but I want to know what I should do. BTW my wideband is running at 12.80 at full throttle.

If you or anyone you know has hptuners, you can read your car's file and then compare it to a stock file. They should be exactly the same if it has not been tuned.

It does NOT cost credits to use the scanner.

No you can read it without using a credit.

Reading doesnt use a credit, only trying to save a change or flashing the pcm uses credits.
