I just got a 05 C6 Lt3 trim. I downloaded the tune off the car and was surprised to see that the ac disable is not really possible according to the stock settings. Downloaded the stock file from hp tuners and confirmed it there too.

Just thought it was weird that the ac would keep running under WOT...

Seen that in other files too. I set the disable to about 65 % and re enable to 50. That way if you have your foot in it the compressor shuts off till you are done playing.

I spent some time reading on the HP Tuners forum. It seems its broken with regards to RPM range.

It's nice that it will shut off if you get on it, its not nice that when you are done and still spinning 7k rpm, it will turn back on to super high revs. What if you need to slow down and have to downshift? While I'm not on the throttle, the gen 3 engine has a shut off for the rpm working correctly so its not running high revs and trying to run the compressor.

It's interesting to note the differences in my cars and see GM has gone *** backwards in some simple regards...
