Is re-pinning needed on '01 harness and tune on an '03 pcm?
Hey guys, anybody know if I can flash an 03 pcm ( blue/green, serv no:12576106, hdw no:12570558) with an 01 tune file, and just hook up a 99-02 harness and be good to go? or does the way the hardware is setup affect the pinout? A specific example: 03 pcm with 03 tune outputs MAP 5V reference on blue48, but the 01 pcm with 01 tune has MAP 5V ref. on blue47, will flashing the 03 pcm with an 01 tune make the 03 pcm pins put out signals in the same positions as the 01 pcm would have? I think my 01 pcm may have crapped out on me, and I want to use this 03 pcm I have.
More simply put: is it the tune or the piece of hardware that determines the pinout?
Any help appreciated, Thanks!

Ah I see, I went to give it a try earlier anyways and realized I would have needed the green connector clip as well since the red is a different shape. I was thinking it would work because of a comment in a hptuners thread about putting an 01 camaro file on an 04 silverado pcm. Any how I went to the junkyard today and picked up another red/blue pcm, my hptuners still wont connect (why I thought my pcm was bad), even with the new pcm so it looks to be an issue with their hardware.
