Default E38 spark tables

Trying to workout when my E38 PCM is using certain spark tables, in particular idle coast down table, obviously idle spark table at idle and HO table when accelerating, but when does it use idle coast down, is it say when car is parked and i rev car and as rev drop does it go's to idle coast down or does it use idle coast down when i drive along and coast along with foot off the gas pedal? Thanks in advance

Is it a stick shift? If so, it uses coast down when your foot is on the clutch and your other foot is off the throttle but you're rolling. It uses the idle table when you're below the speed threshold for idle (something like 1.2 mph).

Is it advisable to copy and paste the HO table into the coast down table?

I make my idle and coast down tables look the same.

I run a LOT more advance in the main table than in the idle table...with my cam it'll surge if I don't
