E40 PCM - Adjust Fuel Level Values?
I have an LS2 and an E40 PCM from a 2006 GTO. I'm swapping it into a 1998 3-Series BMW. I'd like to keep EVAP functional and doing so requires a fuel level input to the PCM.
The GTO fuel level sender generates 240 ohms Empty and 40 ohms Full. This is effectively opposite of what the BMW sender generates - two senders in series each generating 10 ohms Empty and 250 ohms Full for a combined nominal value of 20 ohms Empty and 500 ohms Full. I can lower the BMW's values with a simple resistor but the problem is that they are still opposite of what the E40 PCM is looking for; The E40 is looking for a High ohm value when Empty and a Low ohm value when Full. The BMW sender generates a Low ohm value when Empty and a High ohm value when Full.
Can these values be adjusted in the E40 PCM with HPTuners or EFILive? I found a thread that suggests it's possible in the LS1 computers but I don't know if it's possible in the E40.
Thanks.
