Hey BadMan, did you ever find out how to remove tqm with HPTuners? I am thinking about getting HPTuners and I would like to know how easy it is to do.

Thanks
Dennis

In the Engine>TorqueMgmt section there is a max
torque box, set it to 640 (from 350). There are two
new tables which you may or may not have yet -
they are adding for the '99-up update but the '98
may already have Retard% vs Torque reduction
(leave alone, I figure) and Max Engine Torque vs RPM
vs Gear - here you could work some tricky wheelspin
management I expect, or just set to 640 across the
board.

In Transmission>Torque Management there are a couple
of new enable "buttons" which should be useful to turn
off completely. There is also the Torque Reduction vs
Shift table, which you would zero out to eliminate the
TM everybody talks about (obviously there is more to
it than just the shifts, lookinf at all the options here).
Also upcoming is a check-button to suppress abuse
mode tests for the tranny.

It's not complicated, but it is changing (adding access
to more aspects of the TM "bureaucracy"). Mobetta.
