Default transmitter programming?

OK, now I have tried this a hundred times and it's not working. I'm trying to program a new keyless fob for my 02 Z cause the idiot that had the car before didn't turn them in with the car. I used the owners manual, nichts-nein, got a printout of the process from a friend who is a tech at a GM dealer and the only diff was to push the unlock button on the door while cycling the key to put it into programming mode, nichts on that too. He said that the BCM might have to be flashed. Does anyone know anything about his and where in the hell is the BCM located? Something I forgot to ask him and I won't see him until Sat.

it may not have keyless entry as an option.

there are 2 bcm's one for keyless, one without.

I have had to hold the remotes for up to 20 second to get them to program, but have never had any problems.

Ryan.

The car has an alarm system though and the shock sensor over the r/r q/p. I had to shut the alarm off cause the sob kept going off. If it has an alarm, it would have to have a remote, right?
