Default 4l80e tuning issues

i just finished up my 4l80e swap in my truck and it runs great but i am having a few issues with it.

first issue. my tq converter is set to lockup at 45 mph in the tune but it is not locking untill 58 mph. when i first did the swap i had all factory 4l80e peramaters in the tune and i locked up right at 45 mph. all i changed was the shift points from 5000 rpm to 6400 rpm and coppied the shift pressures from the performance section to the normal section.

second issue. this trans takes for ever to downshift. you could take a nap durring a 3-1/4-1 downshift. it serisouly takes about 5 seconds to it to downshift to first. it almost acts like its confused.

you can see in the attached log when i go wot the trans demands 1st gear but it takes forever for it to actually downshift. about the 5 min mark is where i was trying to get it to go into lockup and it did not demand it till 58 mph.

At work, can't look at it till I get home. In the meantime, I'm gonna attach a thread:

I know it's for a 4L60E but the same theory applies:

Yea iv read that. Everything works good with the trans other than the tcc not locking when the tune is set to lock. When the pcm commands it it locks. But the pcm isnt commanding it when it's set to for some reason.

I know I have mine to lock at 45 mph but sometimes it doesn't lock either, depending on the throttle position, when I go to about 55 to 60 sometimes it locks and once in a while it doesn't lock at all unless I slow down to below 45 and then accelerate again to over 45.

Yea it's gonna depend on throttle position. The tune above locks about 50 up to 25% throttle. I think its dialed in in pretty good in that tune, it shifts nice and don't hold the gears to long at part throttle like some of the others iv tried. You should try it and see if you like it.

I'll check it out, I know that once I got rid of the 3rd gear lockup, the bucking stopped at low speeds, thank God!!!

Following. My downshift speeds are painfully slow as well.

Here's mine, I noticed some differences using the compare feature with the converter lock up clutch and torque management. And remember mine is a 4L60E.
Pay no mind to the engine tune, even though I did tune idle, I still have to tune part throttle and wot since the heads are now different.
