HPTuners, Explain Something Please
I don't understand the pricing on HPTuners. If 1 vehicle type is 499 and 2 vehicle types is 899, why does 3 vehicle types jump up to 2999? For 2999, I can buy 6 one vehicle types or 3, 2 vehicle types and have money left over. What I'm trying to figure out here is the cost of an unlimited F-body and Vette tuner. I'm really confused here.

They are two different softwares. 1-2 vehicle types is the standard software and 3 vehicle types is the Pro edition software that includes alot more features such as changing the VIN of a PCM and having access to PCM information that you can't with the standard software. I believe 1 vehicle type only includes a single year so to have programming capabilities for 98-02 Camaros you would need to buy 5 vehicle types. Maybe someone who owns HP could confirm this.

3 vehicles goes to pro, changing vins, so in reality, you would only need a 1998 and 1999 license to edit all f-cars, with ls1's. so thats why the extra charge. as you could simply change the vins of all 2000-2002 cars to a 1999 vin (or other 99+ year of your choice/license)
Guess they assume the average joe would not have 3 vehicles of different makes/models that they would need tuning.
