Burnt the PCM
I was flashing my PCM today for the thousandth time and the dreaded thing happened...
About 70% through, it just lost communication. So of course it locked up or looped or something and I cant get into it.
I guess my only option is to remove the pcm and take it to the dealership and have them erase and reload stock program right??????????
Has anyone had to do this, or is there any other way I can reload it? Reflashing the stock tune will not work obviously

I would unhook the battery and pull the PCM fuse and just let it sit for awhile to see if that helps. If that doesn't work, you can try to get it flashed at the dealer.

your not going to get the dealer to flash the pcm out of the car, best bet if you dont want to get it towed... is to find someone with the same year car and remove there pcm and put it in your car. once it's at the dealer pull that pcm and reinstall your stock one and get it flashed...
good luck

same thing happened to me a while back w/ls1 edit... I had to have it flashed by a dealership (borrowed friends PCM ... most Dealerships CAN NOT flash a PCM w/out he car)
after that I bought a spare PCM ....
now I use HPTuners no worries of killing my PCM
best bet is to see if a buddy will lend you their PCM , drive car to dealership.. before you go in, swap PCMs... push your car in and have them reflash
if you don't know anyone you can borrow a PCM from then you'll hav eto tow the car to a dealership....

Spoke with a tech i know at a local dealership and he says hes taken care of this problem before and I need to bring him my PCM and VIN# to the dealership and he will erase the entire pcm and reprogram it...said to throw him $20 for doing it
He says there vehicle is not needed
And I spoke to a friend who used to work for an fbody shop down here that has had this happen before and he has taken it to this guy to fix it...so we will see on Tuesday
