Default VCM write failed

OK guys while trying to flash an 04 5.3 setup for a swap in an 80 Chevy truck I keep getting this error message. It read the factory tune fine but after removing vats and 02 sensors, torque managment it will not let me write the new tune to it. Any ideas or tips?

We just had a similar thread where after a Windows reboot, it all worked fine.
Not saying that is the problem, but start there.

I figured it out. The bench harness I use to take out the vats and what not was the issue as I tried another pcm on it and it done the same thing. I put the pcm in another swapped truck and it took the calibration first try. Now to figure out what happened to my bench harness.
