I just started the 5.3 swap I did on my 86 monte carlo ss. it runs smoothly but I don't have any throttle response at all. I'm still using the dbw. The crazy this is that if I reset the code while running and push on the pedal I get a Rev for about two seconds then the code pops up again and I get a dead pedal. Any suggestions on what I should check next before I throw money at it.

I cannot help you, but the people who can will first need more info.
Tell us exactly what ECM, pedal assembly and harness you have.
Was the ECM tuned or is it "stock"? If stock for what vehicle.

Not trying to be difficult, but you still haven't ID'd the PCM - a 411, a E38 or what?
There are different TAC modules for Vettes, trucks, CTS-V and others. Not everything is interchangeable and works with everything else. So which is it?
I suspect you have an incompatibility and therefore exact module and PCM part #s may be important.
You haven't even told us what year engine it is, and where the harness came from.
