Default new to tuning. should i get a mail order or a handheld?

Hello all, I just installed 373 gears in my car and the speedo is WAY off as well as the transmission slamming into second gear. I plan on doing full bolt ons and a cam in the future so I was just wondering if I should get a mail order tune or a handheld tuner? Any insight would be great thanks

I don't suggest a handheld. Either find a shop close to you or find a buddy that has hp tuners. Or get hp tuners for yourself and learn how to use it. Not sure of your location or year make and model of your vehicle but, I am located in Pen Argyl PA and I have unlimited for 99 and 2000 f-body's. I could make those changes for you if you are close. Good luck.

oh shoot I apologize I forgot to put the car info. Its a 2000 Camaro z28. I actually live in the Fredericksburg Virginia area, so no handheld, cool I kinda figured it would be better to get it tuned.

There's Chris Treblic right there in fredericksburg, although he mainly does Hondas. You also have Broadview Auto in warrenton which is within 30 minutes. Best within a 60 mile radius is probably Steve Frost.

Thank you i appreciate the info! I'll look into those people. I know of Chris Treblic from friends with Hondas. I have never seen him do anything except Hondas.

Chris is a good friend of mine. He does other cars. He's just so popular with Hondas it's hard to squeeze anything else in.
