Default 10 degreese of timing at wot LQ4?

So I bought this car as a turnkey, was on a 150*. Got the lower end rebuild .10 over, forged, 10.8:1 compression, 243 heads, mild cam, fast 4150 intake.

The car wont stay idling after I put it back together, I have to give it gas to keep it from dying, AFR at idle is around 11-12:1. It also wants to die when I come to a stop.

No MAF, no knock sensors, no 02. Im assuming Open loop Speed Density tune?

Im curious why my timing would be at 10* when im at WOT for a 150*. Seems like thats way retarded? I been reading some people are at 22-25 at 150*. I plan to up the shot to 300

Plugs are 8's gapped to 32.

Any help or insight would be appreciated

Well every car is different and will respond different. For example I'm at 22 on a 125 shot.

No one can tell you what the timing should be. You need to learn how to read the plugs ground strap.

I need to do that, but i think 10 is very low haha. I have to find a way to get a reading on them after I shut it down, I may go on the street, do a pass and shut it down and pull plugs.

nothing wrong with low timing and leaner on the spray. better then rich with too much timing. read the plugs and adjust accordingly.
