How did you go about figuring this out. I have the same problem but different situation. Running a different os than what the harness is made for. I need to track down where the asr problem lies but i guess i need service manuals for both my car and the one that the os is made for so i can figure the differences?

First I noticed that on the 98 side of this C200 connector there was a purple/white wire and on the 99+ side there was nothing. After digging deep enough on the interweb I found the pinout for the 99+ and started noticing the differences. For instance the yellow/black wire that I'm assuming is why I had my no start issue. On the 99+ harness there is nothing. So that is why I'm looking for a 98 pinout of this connector so I can go through it and swap the wire that don't match up. Again just to be clear. I'm using a 99+ interior dash harness as well as a 99+ engine harness. The EBCM on the 99+ sends its info. Through class 2 serial data. Maybe that's why you are having issue with it.

The you should be able to get the pin out from the 02 Tahoe bcm and see what signals go to the PCM compare it to the f-body bcm, and just swap the wires from the f-body bcm to the PCM. Or am I missing something? What PCM are you using?

Well the bcm is entirely different from vehicle to vehicle so im hoping it is as easy as that. I havnt been able to find a pin out for either vehicle at this point so i will probably have to buy the service manuals

I found the pinout for the 99+ f-body doing a Google search.

This should be what you need for the 99+ f-body.

ASR should all come from the EBCM I thought?

This is from the 1998 service manual. No ASR stuff on the other two connectors either it looks like.

Thought i would update this thread with my fix for the abs/tcs issues after the swap. I replace the 98 EBCM with a 99+ unit and moved the LT. GREEN wire in pin 7 on the EBCM connector to pin 25. This is the serial data wire for the 99+ harness and gauges. after i did this the light are off on the dash and my ASR switch works. Just to recap i used the 99+ engine, dash, gauges, and EBCM. Hope this helps in some way.
