Default Truck tune, keep AFR correction?

I'm playing with the tune on my 5.3/4l80e and it has basically a stock tune. I'm wondering if there is any benefit to keeping the AFR correction that trucks use to add timing? Probably easier to tune just the main timing table, but if there is a benefit to keeping the AFR correction I'll learn to work with it.

As a follow up, if I zero out the AFR table, is it safe to start with a stock car/vette timing table?

Engine and trans are all stock other than mid-length headers.

Thanks,
