Default What is this mystery black box that was next to LS1 ECU?

Does anyone know what this box is that was located right next to the ECU in a '99 Trans Am LS1 T-56 car?

All it says on it is "Guide" and it has a 4 pin connector with connections labeled A-B-C-D and a 3 pin connector with A-B-C.

I've been told this black box may be for a throttle by wire.

No part number on the box anywhere. Could be for headlight motors, would make more sense as it was out of a '99 trans am.

That's the headlamp door opening actuator control module. And it slides into a bracket that's part of the underhood electrical center in the LF corner of the engine bay.

And it's not anywhere close to the ECU like you said in your first post.

Apologies, that is what I was told. I did not pull the ECU. The guy I purchased the ECU from said it was "right next to the ECU and looked important so I grabbed it"

This was out of a wrecked car... so it may have very well wound up next to the ECU!
