Is this common with 3.73's and a 3600+ stall?

At times, when going WOT in 2nd or 3rd gear the trans will not downshift right away - rather it bogs down as I push the pedal for about 3-5 seconds and then decides to shift. I was told it was possibly due to my gears and TC? BTW, I am throwing P0121 TPS sensor codes. Last time this happened the tuner was able to tune it out. It seems to happen every couple thousand miles and I just hate taking it back each time and wasting my tuners time on this. what are your thoughts . . .
thanks

This is interesting I am having the same type of issues. I would be interested to see what comes of this. What exactly is the definition for that code. Keep me informed. Thanks

Spoke with Larry at Speed yesterday, they replaced the TPS and tightened up the shifts a little bit. Said it feels good now. I will get more details for ya when I pick it up tmr
btw, p0121 is Throttle Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Range/Performance Problem

Jancarich answered correctly. You need to reset the MAP value window for the P0121 code. Your cam has much higher overlap than the factory tune is set for, and is running at a lower MAP, and falling outside the parameters for P0121.
The ECM does a speed density check against MAF readings (using the MAP among other things) and the lower MAP value doesn't jive with the MAF airflow readings so the ECM thinks there's a problem with your TPS.
It's all fixed in the tuning.
The 3.73s may also be contributing to the problem if you haven't set shift points/MPH. (Those tables are A4 specific and seperate from just correcting the speedometer).

same thing is still happening, been back to the tuner three times already. It's good for a few hundred miles, then starts acting up again.
Should I keep this 4L60e or go with a TH400 (I hate to spend the cash right now)
Also, it bogs pretty hard off the line at the track until second gear
any ideas
