I'm in need of advice from an expert in the use of the GM Tech 2 tool.

Specifically, the use of PCMCIA cards.

Can software be loaded into a card with a computer with a PCMCIA card reader?

I'm having problems finding a card to get into my 2003 Isuzu Ascender. It's GM (think GMC Envoy) but the card needs the Ascender files.

I have never done it that way.

Only through the tool It self. Plugs into the computer and you upload the files through it.

I don't believe its looking for anything specific on the tool but I am not 100% sure on that.

There is a guy that sells the Isuzu cards with the Software already loaded on Ebay.

What version of software do you have?

Is the coverage you need offered through GM NAO software Or is it through Isuzu specific card?

Yeah, the best looking one isn't for the GM built trucks like the Ascender and Hombre.

Some sellers have Ascender cards for 2006 and up CAN vehicles.

I need to do diagnostics and a radio pairing.

As far as the radio paring. At least on the 03-07 classic trucks, I have had to reprogram them with the TIS2000 software.

Try contacting user racerbrownn on Ebay.

He sells Genuine cards with genuine software. He may be able to help you figure out what version of software you need to get diagnostic coverage on that vehicle.

I may not know exactly what I am looking for, but I don't see the Ascender listed on any of the cards I see.

That guy at least seems to know his stuff. If you can figure out which software version you need you might be able to find a used card.

It's usually bundled with all GM built Isuzu badged vehicles like the Hombre, I-280/290 and the big trucks based on the Top Kick.

I found him and sent him a message. Something's gotta work!

ALRIGHT guys, racerbrown has it and didn't say "huh? what's an Ascender??" like many other Tech 2 card hawkers did.

I've seen some legitimate cards going for up to $400 and he wants $175 which I think is reasonable.

If all you are looking to do is read data and perform special functions etc and you scanner is up to date at least as new or a few years newer than the vehicle you need to check I've been able to go into isuzu's just using all info for a trailblazer and haven't had any problems.
