Default EFILive 5 and Oil Pressure

Hello All- I am tracing out a problem with my oil pressure. I've noticed since I started using EFILive 5 Pro (and now version 6) that my oil pressure from the computer reads a raw value of 1 or -105kPa (sorry, I haven't set it to english yet). My question, is this correct- meaning that everybody else who uses EFILive 5 gets the same value- or is there something wrong?

I have a new oil pump to be installed, but I'd rather replace a sensor before the pump.

Default Oil Pressure

This is from the FAQ on EFILive home page.

Why can't I log oil pressure on my F body?

The F-Body PCM does not provide an oil pressure PID value. The PCM software reports that the oil pressure PID is supported, however the PCM does not provide oil pressure data for that PID. The oil pressure is sent directly to the instrument gauge. The oil pressure PID has been removed from EFILive V6 for F body applications.

The Y body oil presusre PID is supported and does report oil pressure.

The GM-H Commodore oil pressure PID is supported and does report oil pressure.

Thanks, that answers why version 6 doesn't have the feature . I connected my laptop to my mom's Avalanche (5.3L) and it worked. Well, I just removed everything to install a new oil pressure sensor and oil pump. Hope this is a worthwhile effort.

Again, thanks for your help.
