Default HELP! drag car goes into limp mode

I've got a 84 monte carlo that has a cam only ls1 and powerglide. I'm tuning with HP tuners. Im using the shift light output to activate a relay for the shift solenoid on the shifter. and I use a launch controller set at 3800 when on the transbrake. The problem I'm having is if I try to shift above 6300 the car shuts down and wont clear unless I cycle the ignition. It doesn't shut off just idles. If you give it part throttle or full throttle it does the same thing, just surges. I can even make it do it sitting still and reving it up. But I don't like to do that in park with no load on it. I've gone through the DFCO tabs and cant find the problem. The car has been 6.89 shifting at 6300 but if I push 6400 it shuts down. And just will not operate normal until I cut it off and restart it..heres my file and some runs that I logged. A good pass and a pass where it shuts down

Check if p1516 or p1518 something like that are turned off in the tune. Is it throttle cable or wire car?

P1516 and p1518 are set as no error reporting. its a cable throttle body. has a 2000 f body tune. something is cutting off the injector duty cycle in the logs that I recorded.

It's responding like those codes if you set them to 1 trip report not sure what will happen don't remember if the fbodys can set this or not. I know they will act like what you are describing and will set even if the code is set to do not report. There are a few reasons they set if you search for those codes on here and corvette forum may help.

Have you tried disabling the shift light? Try this and see if it makes any difference, if it doesnt, I would try disabling the shift light.

Think it may be abuse mode kicking in? I did some searches but couldn't find a definition of abuse mode. makes sense. I'm pretty sure it was doing it before I enabled the shift light.
Thanks LSX P.T.

Its getting cold not sure when I will be able to try it...but I will
