How do you permantly turn off traction control?
I tried through LS1edit to no avail. I read that edit won't do it because its part of the ABS brake system. I bought that SLP reverse module but it seems to work only some of the time. I tried unplugging the switch. How in the hell do you turn the damn thing off for good? Thanks.

Unplug the pulley cluster connector and it will
always fault into "ASR OFF".
I've always wondered what would happen if
you unplugged everything from the TCS "brain"
up under the dash. But I never got around to
trying that. Would be nice if it both killed the
action, and the light.
There ought to be something like that, that
works, because I can't see Generous Motors
making something special to keep the non-TCS
cars from lighting the light full time....

dude the slp thing works or it doesn't. did you read the manual? If not send it back for a replacement.
IF YOU KEY ON, then start it will not disable ASR/TCS.
It will only disable from KEY OFF to start.
Mine does just that. If im sitting with the ingition on, then go to start, ASR ON.
Sometimes if you stall you will not remember this and the unit will do as its programmed.
i've never ever had a problem with mine, other than the occasional forgetting about "That feature" but that is how its designed.
im sure slp would stand up on their design if its not behaving as sold.
