I did a full write to ditch the trucks tune and I used my LS2 base tune. And the car runs and idles perfect minus the original park neutral surge which is barely noticeable compared to what I've been dealing with.

Note: this tune is based off my ls1 tune for the ported heads and 230/238 Cam Motion cam. I think the only real changes were to the displacement.

I guess something has been corrupted along the way. I will use the compare function and look at every difference between this tune and the newest revision and see if I can nail down the problem. I might just run a new CALC.VET on this one and go from there....the IFR table might not be "correct" but at least the tune works.

Here are the tune and the log:

Yes, do a new CALC.VET on this tune file... the trims are working properly on this one.

Then I should be able to just copy some of the changes you made into it to correct the problems you found and hopefully that has this thing in the bag.

Just do the CALC.VET and then do a new log with the updated tune... then post your updated tune file and the fresh log and I'll see what changes need to be made to the tune file.

Doing a CALC.VET on that tune file will make your tune worse... it still has the minimum pulse set too high. I should have looked at your tune file before saying anything... my fault.

Here's a tune file with all the fixes applied.

also, are you running non resister plugs ? some cars that will screw up the computer(mine) also how about the metal covers/springs on the boot ends ? the 24T engines are far more prone to RF interfearence...found this out the hard way, and with swap sometimes grounds, RFI can drive you crazy

No worries I didn't have a chance to mess with it more yesterday. Thanks again for your time and patience

Just went for a tuning run and I can't even tell you how much better this is everywhere. The absolute only thing is coming to a stop with real quick off throttle is it dips down a little low but it just comes right back up and idles rock solid so that should be an easy fix.

It was running so good I didn't want to park it. Throttle response is already worlds better, really lets the solid roller shine. Little more touch up and if all goes well I can hit the dragstrip Sunday for opening day of the season.

*cheers* to everyone in this thread who has offered up opinions, tips, and was patient with my ignorant ***
