customizing OBDII parameters
I am curious if a tuner has the capability of sending additional parameters to the OBDII port?
There are so many variables being tracked at the ECU level, but very little is sent to the OBDII port.
I am using an ultragauge to monitor a few things on my volvo 6.0l swap, and would love to add a few things that are being monitored at the ECU level such as oil pressure/temp.
What determines what variables are being output to the OBDII port?

all of the PIDS are there... you can't "add" PIDS. you just need a vehicle communication interface (VCI) capable of reading them. i'm not familiar with the "ultragauge" but i'm guessing it's just a simple "OBDII Generic" VCI. if that's the case it will only monitor a handful of PIDS that are mandated by the government spec. everything else is there, you just can't read it without an appropriate tool.
