Default 2.73 to 3.45 help, where in EFILive?

Hey all, I just changed my 10 bolt to a BW 9 bolt (yea I know, why not a 12 bolt or ford 9...) Where in EFILive can I change the gearing at? I've looked and searched and I cant seem to locate it.

Open the tune file, look at the LH side, see the list, look at the bottom, see speedometer. clik parameters, go from there. The program will calculate for tire size, etc.

Maybe this visual Aid will help. After you change the final drive ratio, click apply and it will recalculate everything like shift points for you. Then Re save the file as a new name. I typically add numbers or a description of the change.

That doesnt apply to 98's in efi live.

This is from a 98 below. You just have to calculate and change it by hand. The speed calculator built into efi doesnt work on them.

With HP Tuners on 98s you take the tire size/gear ratio and enter that result. The software calculated these settings for the 3.45 gear and stock 98 tire size and a auto trans since you went from a 2.73. You can plug these values into the EFI Live tables LSX Power Tuning posted.

Interesting, It's like EFI live never finished it. I noticed it only displays data for the engine OS and checksum but nothing for the rest of it.

I looked at a black Box PCM file from a 98 GMC L31 truck and it has the H0103 Table for gear ratio. You can also use the calculator function as well. It also Displays the the OS and check sums for the other systems.

That's how I do it most of the time.

Awesome thread! I'm new to EFILive and last weekend I was chatting with a friend about if I could correct his shift points after a gear change and this showed me everything I need. Thanks!
