Exclamation Need Help Asap

well. I left my lights on earlier and jumped her and she fired right up. left her running to recharge for a bit and shut her down and went back into work. 6 hours later i go out and it appears to have power, but when the key is turned to the on position or i try starting it, absolutely nothing. lights don'w work, radio won't come on, no horn, no mileage indicator....nothing. car is completely quiet when I try to start it. I checked the fuses under the hood (PCM BAT), and the fuses inside (guages etc). I even did the PCM reset procedure and still nothing. After i try to start it all of the gauges kick over to the right real quick and then go back to rest...

IDEAS PLEASE???

James

Sounds like the battery is still dead to me. Did you check the battery to make sure it still has juice??

How did you jook up the battery charger for the jump? If your gauges in the dash arent working you have bigger problems than the battery. You may have spiked the PCM depending on how you hooked up your battery charger. I fried one doing this just last week and it cost me 280 to replace it.

Two things to check:
Corroded battery terminal and/or a terminal coming off of the battery.
Bad ground.

Default No charge.

There is no question here. your battery needs a better charge. slow trickle it if the alternator wont cut it. If the slow trickle does not work, u killed a cell. regardless ----battery all day.

I shorted my battery had the same thing with dead car and gauges jumping. Slow charged for almost an hour - back to normal, the battery now holds the charge just as well as it did before
