Default Idle Problems...Help!

Car idles fine when cold. Around 950 -1000 RPM. Once it is hot it surges bad from 1200 to 1800 rpm. Sometimes it dips below 500. Took it to get it tuned at LG. They worked with it and decided it was the TR ported MAF ends. I put my stock ones back on. It helped a little, but it still surges once it warms up. I have done serveral searches. At first, I thought it was a vacuum leak. But, other people have had this problem. My TB hole is drilled to 7/32. What do I need? MAF-T...What diagnotic tool do I need to be able to scan the codes and monitor the IAC counts. Help me out guys. I'm getting to the point where I'm ready to park it. Luckily it is not my primary mode of transportation.

Also check out my thread in the "Automatic Transmission" section.

Could this be the culprit as well? I think having a stall that is too tight makes the problem harder to deal with. Having a M6 would make a problem like this easier to deal with! Thanks!!!

Also, if it starts this surging and you unplug the MAF, it starts to die. If you give it a little gas at let off, it will then idle fine without the MAF plugged in. What's up with that? You plug the MAF back in, it will idle fine for a little while. Then it will start surging again.

Why not have LG work on it some more? LS1edit can fix the problem when ussing the timing type tables.

I don't know if this matters, but I found that the IAT was missing the O-ring. Could this be a source for un-metered air?

Also, I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with the ported and polished TB's. Mine had the "epoxy" job done to it. Could this possibly keep the IAT from seating properly? I bought the TB from a sponsor here. It came with the IAT (without the O-ring) installed.

You mean the IAC (idle air controller)?? Ported TB's can cause you all sorts of problems. Did it start right after you put this on?
