Default Gen4 e38 PCM with 700r4

I've been approached by someone with an interesting situation and looking for opinions.

Engine is a 2008 L92, customer put a 700r4 behind it. (58x e38 PCM)
Has switched the DBW to a aftermarket DBC throttle body with TV cable hooked up.

To run this setup as is, I believe he will need to disable knock sensors, use the lingenfelter 58x to 24x converter, and use a Gen3 LS1 PCM and harness. I don't believe any L92 factory calibrations exist for the LS1 PCM so custom tune would be required? LQ9 might be close?

OR

Switch back to DBW and use the e38 pcm, but then he will be unable to hook up the TV cable?

Thoughts?

I think this question would get more input in the PCM/Tuning section. I'll move it for ya.

Use 0411 Gen3 ECU, 58x to 24x box, DBC, CONNECT THE KNOCK SENSORS somehow. Tune it. If you use the E38, DBW and no TV cable hooked up, you will burn the transmission up. Or you could install a manual VB in the 700r4.

Also, you may want to do a DoD delete kit and delete the VVT crap out of that L92.

Thanks for your input. DOD and VVT already been removed from the engine.

Are the LS2 style knock sensors compatable with the '0411?

Or just use an aftermarket ecu such as holley, fast ect... If its stock motor on a driver then a 411 will work fine. If it has a performance adders I would prefer holley ecu.

Im not exactly sure. I have tuned a 58x engine connected to an 0411 (58x to 24x box was used). Im not sure how the knock sensrs were hooked up though. I can ask the owner of the vehicle.

Car is having intermittent problems with a basemap loaded up. Not sure if its the LPE box, or the knock sensors, or some other sensor going bad.

Runs mint one night, and then the next it barely starts, wont idle unless you hold it, no power etc.
